We are going all out French using Comté: the ultimate French cheese for cooking!

We will be making – Chicken Comté served with Pommes Parmentier another French favourite.

This week our Teen Chefs will work with this marvellous cheese highly prized for many reasons. It has an incredible depth of flavour that comes from the quality of the raw milk used to make it, as well as the expertise of the local cheesemakers.

Pommes Parmentier, is a 1 cm diced potato that is shallow-fried in butter, then finished with chopped parsley – It is an attractive potato dish and like many recipes, it was named after a man who made the French public aware of the potato in the mid to late 1700s.

This weeks recipe will contain the following of the main 14 allergens as ingredients.

  • Sulphites
  • Alcohol** – White Wine

You must detail any dietary requirements and allergies at the time of booking.

A work area will be provided that does not have the ingredients you are allergic to but the attendee is responsible for avoiding allergens and any risk they pose.

Although every care is taken to avoid cross-contamination with other allergens, due to the nature of the kitchen in use there is a risk that food prepared/served on site may contain other allergens not specified, i.e. ingredients may contain or have been prepared on shared equipment with wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, fish, soya and shellfish and other allergens.

No responsibility will be accepted for anyone who consumes any food taken off site from a cookery class.
