‘Skills & Spills’– is a Cookery School for both adults and children in Coulsdon and Wallington.
Trained and qualified at Le Cordon Bleu London, I hold a highly acclaimed ‘Diplôme de Cuisine’ a classical chef training course that offers a rigorous and comprehensive programme in French culinary techniques and international cuisine.
I hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate. A current First Aid Certificate and
Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering and
Level 3 Award in Education and Training
Most importantly I am also a mum of two with a huge passion for food and cooking.
The aim of my cookery school is to teach all to learn and grow in the kitchen through making food fun and enjoyable, following recipes to bring ideas to life.
I will be teaching children basic cooking skills, incorporating a good understanding of food safety, healthy eating, meal planning by practical fun cookery lessons.
Allowing your aspiring young chef the tools they need to hone essential cooking skills, so they become inspired to cook for you, family and friends.
For adults, some of the topics covered will include:-
Kitchen basics & cookery methods of cooking e.g. braising, pan frying, boiling, deep-frying, roasting & steaming.
Basic stocks & derivatives, soups & elementary sauces & emulsions.
Knife skills, butchery, fish filleting, boning and carving.
Starters, mains & basic plated desserts.
Gain an awareness of plating presentation.
Learn classic techniques & develop personal kitchen organisation and managements skills.
All equipment for each lesson will be provided along with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients (where possible).
